Security patrol log Excel templates

Keep patrol plans, recorded rounds and handoff notes distinct. These sheets organize records supplied by your team; they do not track guards or verify presence.

Connect a recorded check to its round and time

Record a site reference, round identifier, checkpoint and observed time with a defined time zone. A planned route is not evidence that each checkpoint was visited. Keep missing entries visible, and distinguish a late entry from an on-time visit. Use Incidents when an observation needs a separate incident record and controlled follow-up. Do not place access codes or sensitive site layouts in general-purpose logs.

Can a workbook replace a guard tour tracking system?

No. A spreadsheet can organize manually entered records but does not independently capture location, authenticate a checkpoint scan or provide a tamper-evident audit trail.
